Across the Harbour

Across the Harbour was created completely on location over 10 outdoor sessions, with not a single photo used for a reference. The artist, Aurora Paulina Kay,  loves painting on location because it allows her to become fully immersed in the ambience of the place. You might be familiar with the view from Seaforth towards Clontarf Beach and across Middle Harbour. It’s one of the most loved views by Australian artists. It was captured by plein air artists of the past such as Arthur Streeton, Robert Johnson, James R Jackson and Rubery Bennett. The painting comes framed in a white trim frame.

Suburban Apartment with Glass Table

Jacki Fewtrell-Gobert’s paintings focus on the beauty of the home interior, our treasured personal space filled with memories, comfortable furnishings, special objects and the homely art collection. Jacki refers to these paintings as ‘casual still life studies’. Paintings of interiors are fascinating images. They are a combination of the her imagination and documentation of life as we live it. The paintings can provide detailed insights to others lives and daily experiences while aesthetically offering interesting and beautifully composed imagery.
