Art Sales & Customer Service based in Los Angeles

 

Are you a creative sales professional who loves customer service?

KAB Gallery is an innovative art company looking for a highly motivated, vibrant individual with real personality to work within art sales in Los Angeles. 

We are seeking a reliable individual with lots of enthusiasm and a passion for helping clients purchase great Australian art. You will need to have previous independent sales experience working with luxury retail and/or art, exceptional sales and customer service skills, have PR experience and be immaculately groomed. You will also need to be a team player happy to work with other customer service staff.

Most of all we need someone who has great communication skills and excellent client rapport in order to help our customers find the perfect artwork for their space! 

We are now recruiting

  • Art Sales & Customer Service Representative

 The position will involve:

  • Premium customer service
  • Representation of the KAB Gallery International Brand
  • Cold calling and lead development
  • Listening to customers needs
  • Sales and meeting KPI targets
  • Curation of catalogues 
  • Networking with other professionals who work in the Los Angeles interiors and art industry 
  • Working independently while regularly reporting to the Directors
  • In-home/site art consultations 
  • Invoicing
  • Organisation of domestic and international shipping
  • Packaging and unpackaging of artworks 
  • Personal travel
  • Serving international clients via email, telephone, livechat and in person
  • Regular online correspondence
  • Keeping up-to-date with international currency conversion rates 
  • Overseeing of customs paperwork

Successful candidates will possess the following attributes: 

  • Excellent presentation, sales and customer service skills
  • Ability to engage with customers and provide a premium purchasing experience
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to generate leads and close sales
  • Independent sales experience
  • Knowledge of Australian art and various art mediums is desired, however training will be provided
  • PR experience
  • Basic Excel skills are desired but not necessary
  • Applicants who speak a second language will be highly regarded for the role.

We are seeking a reliable individual with lots of enthusiasm and a passion for the art industry. As a Gallerist Trainee, you will be gaining experience working with premium art, learning about various art related services, developing customer service skills, and kicking off your career with industry desired experience. The right candidate will need to be a great communicator, punctual, responsible and be immaculately groomed. You will also need to be a team player happy to work with the entire team. Expect the role to be demanding while interesting and rewarding. KAB is extremely busy at times and this is in no way a sit-down job! 

We are now recruiting for a part-time role that may become full-time for the right person:

  • Gallerist Trainee

 The position will involve but is not limited to:

  • Premium customer service
  • Sales
  • Gallery presentation upkeep – daily cleaning care & management
  • Assisting across all curatorial aspects
  • General gallery duties 
  • Packaging of artworks for transport
  • Stockroom management 
  • Administration
  • Point of sale processing 
  • Assisting the Directors in the running of the gallery

Successful candidates will possess the following attributes: 

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to engage with customers 
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to maintain the general upkeep of the gallery
  • Willingness to learn
  • Excellent literacy skills
  • Interest in Australian art and various art mediums 
  • Basic Excel skills are desired but not necessary
  • Shifts will include most weekends, some evenings and most public holidays. This position will require approximately 2 shifts per week. (this position may be offered full-time later)
