Small bright blue and deep orange kingfisher. It can be spotted along waterways and rivers as it positions itself from perch to perch flying very fast, and only a few meters off the water, typically making a loud high pitched “seeeeeeeep” call. The beautiful Sacred Kingfisher has similar orange-buff belly, but it is a much larger bird.
This original artwork features an elegant application of gold within the detailed areas on the branch and beak.
