Andy Collis is an expressive painter and art academic working with a bright and contemporary colour palette. A traditional portrait painter at heart with a natural energy for experimentation with new medias, methods and styles. He creates daily from his professional studio and knows no boundaries with his artmaking. He is a gentle-natured and receptive artist who paints representations of mood and aesthetic. His work is modern, bold, and colourful, which will complement most contemporary homes and enhance professional offices.
His contemporary “Colour Layer” series is fresh and interesting. This is by far Andy’s most popular series to date and has gained worldwide attention. His technique involves the layering of splashed contrasting pigments and mediums on canvas. The result is an expressive abstract work of art that Andy skillfully works to create a representative composition.
