Sally regularly travels to rural NSW to visit her family farms and paint. This winning artwork depicts her brother’s tractor – Sally has a great way of bringing everyday actions and objects to life in her paintings. She received the news that she had won the prize while away in rural NSW on another painting trip and packed up to drive to Waverley in time to accept the prize last night. Sally explained that the award has inspired her. She will be buying more art supplies and returning to the country this week to paint more paintings. We look forward to seeing the new paintings!
