On the Lookout by Australian artist Kelly Anne Love brings together two very familiar sights from the Central Coast: the ever watchful seagull and the coastline of Terrigal.

The seagull is full of personality, with expressive black linework, ink splatters and flashes of brilliant blue, red and orange.

But take a closer look.

Subtly painted into the body of the bird is an aerial view of Terrigal, including the Esplanade, Terrigal Haven and the unmistakable form of the Skillion. It is a clever detail that may not be noticed immediately, giving the artwork an unexpected connection to place.
