Every day the ocean and surf at Manly is different. Daily ocean swimmers can fondly describe most of their ocean swims as daily floats above schools of translucent little yellowtail, the odd blue groper, and dancing manta ray. However, in wilder conditions, a swim feels can feel more like being a cork on high-tide with the sea life sheltering beneath the ocean bedload. Locals can instantly recognise the surf lifesavers’ loudspeaker voice shifting from relaxed to firm with warning as the surf conditions rare up. This painting is a beautiful representation of the beach in all it’s glory. You can see here the sunny and joyful conditions of the beach with the raring surf building in the distance.
