“I was lucky enough to see these Blue Faced Honeyeaters in the Wollombi Valley, NSW. The twisting of the necks is a characteristic movement of the birds. Although called honeyeaters, their main food source are insects. If you look closely I have made up a story – the first bird on the left has its food, the second on is looking up and missing the action below, the third one is eyeing up what the second one is missing!
