Steve Tyerman is a contemporary artist living and finding inspiration in the Gold Coast hinterland. His lush paintings are bright, bold and echos the beauty of his local landscape and times traveling throughout South America and the Caribbean. Travelling for Steve was a unique time for his artistic development and style. His paintings are created with fine quality medium and presented in conservation grade frames.

“My art is an attempt to create a total synthesis of my visual sensations and lived experiences, they are emotional responses to these places tempered and informed by my keen interest in gardening, wildlife, literature and the natural world.”

Steve Tyerman an award winning artist and has been a finalist in numerous prestigious art prizes including the Eutick Memorial Still Life Award (EMSLA) 2012, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007, QLD Figurative art Prize (Commended) 2014, The Border Art Prize (Highly commended) 2015 & 2007, Doug Moran Portrait Prize (semi finalist) 2012, Sunshine Coast Art Prize 2012, 2011, Redland Art Prize 2010, Fleurieu Water Prize 2011, Tattersalls Club Landscape Prize 2009, Stan & Maureen Duke Prize 2011, Norvill Art Prize 2006. His paintings are held in many private collections all over the world and public collections including the Gold Coast City Art Gallery.
