Simon Buchan

Simon’s use of colour and his expressive impasto style brings a breath of fresh air to any space. Depicting scenes we often associate with nostalgic memories (such as a summer in Byron Bay, or weekend in Sydney enjoying the sunshine through the buildings) really draws the viewer into the painting to recall their own memories.

“Some of my work is quite realistic in nature although I also like to re-imagine the subject and paint in a tactile style, seeking to capture the spirit of what I am seeing.”
