Robyn Collier

Robyn Collier is an Australian landscape artist whose career spans more than four decades. A contemporary favourite for collectors worldwide, she is recognised for her highly accomplished paintings of Australia’s wilderness, coastline and remote natural environments. Her work reflects a lifelong commitment to observing the Australian landscape firsthand, resulting in paintings that are both technically refined and deeply connected to place.

Based in New South Wales, Robyn has spent decades exploring some of Australia’s most remarkable locations. From the Blue Mountains and ancient rainforests to Central Australia, the Great Barrier Reef and the rugged coastline, her practice is informed by extensive travel, bushwalking and time immersed in the environments she paints. Robyn began painting professionally during the early 1970s and has remained dedicated to the traditional discipline of oil painting throughout her career. 

A defining characteristic of Robyn’s work is her understanding of natural light. Whether painting the early morning glow across a mountain valley, the movement of water over reef formations or the quiet atmosphere of a remote forest, she approaches each subject with careful observation and a confident command of oil paint. 

Throughout her career, Robyn Collier has received numerous awards, been widely published in Australian art magazines and invited to judge art competitions across Australia. She has also conducted painting workshops nationwide. Robyn has held Artist in Residence appointments at several iconic Australian locations, experiences that continue to inspire her original Australian landscape and seascape paintings.
