Max Mannix

  (b.1939)

Max Mannix is an Australian artist who paints stories based on growing up in a Victorian country town and working on cattle stations in the Queensland outback. Through his years growing up Max Mannix has been able to portray these experiences through his artwork, depicting Australian country life through keen insight and humour.

His Work Is predominantly painted in oil on board, but he also uses acrylics, pen and inks as well as creating etchings and figurative sculptures. Max Mannix is a highly collectable and published Australian artist, whose work is well exhibited and part of significant private and corporate collections all around the world. He has also been a Finalist in the Sulman Prize (2015) and Finalist in the Wynne Prize (2014). 

Sought after on both the primary and secondary art markets, Max Mannix is adorned and collected worldwide.
