Gosford Art Prize 2014

The Gosford Art Prize is a major art prize on the Central Coast. The art prize is open to all artists and attracts entries from across the country. The exhibition of finalists showcases artworks by artists from across the nation competing for over $15,000 of prizes. Prizes are awarded for 2-dimensional work (including painting, drawing, printing, and mixed media), photography & digital media, sculpture and ceramics. This year judges deliberated over 512 entries from 365 artists.

Winners were announced at the opening. Pamela Honeyfield has been named the overall winner of the Gosford Art Prize, for her painting entitled ‘Fields of Gold’, Christoper Dewar took out the dimensional category with his, ‘Desert Flowers’ work and other artists were also commended for their efforts in sculpture, ceramics and digital media.

Five Lands Walk En Plein Air artists, Steven Fisher and Graeme Balchin, were also exhibited finalists in the prize. You can see more of their artworks at the Crowne Plaza Terrigal now. Visit us at KAB Gallery for more!
