Announcing Sally West’s solo exhibition at KAB Gallery – Surf & Snow opens November 4.

Viewing is welcome at the gallery from 10am on Saturday November 4, with a special viewing that afternoon from 2-4pm.

Sally West has been working at her easel capturing the essence of both the Surf and the Snow. This exciting exhibition features her best work depicting Australia’s extreme climate: Sally West’s hot beach series and cool snow series together for the first time!

Sally West’s new Snow Series artwork will be available at KAB Gallery from Nov 4

Both series have been a challenge to create but the result was worthy. Sally West is a dedicated en plein air painter and the environmental elements at the snow and the Freshwater Beach cliff edge are extreme.

Sally West never knows how a series will progress throughout its life. The beach series certainly evolving as an organic process. This new series of snow depicts the best aerial perspective of the ski fields she could access to create a frozen version of the Beach Series. “The Beach Series is so close to my heart and I never tire of painting the ocean view. This Snow series is such a visual change and I have so many feelings about it – from nerves to excitement. I’m going to see where it takes me!” says Sally West.

Join us to see these two series side-by-side for the first time!
