Congratulations to KAB Gallery artist Helen McCullagh! Announced as finalist and HIGHLY COMMENDED in this year’s Muswellbrook Art Prize.

The Muswellbrook Prize is an historic acquisitive art competition held biennially. Launched in 1958, previous winners have included some very well-known artists such as Mike Parr, David Strachan, Fred Williams and Thomas Gleghorn. It consists of 3 competition categories; painting, works on paper and ceramics.

Helen McCullagh was competing alongside Australia’s best to take out the $40,000 prize in Section A: Two dimensional painting of any subject in any medium and was delighted to be a Highly Commended finalist. The guest adjudicator Ann Ryan, Curator of Australia Prints, Drawing and Watercolours at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, announced the winning entries and commendations from each prize category on Saturday 28th February.
